Also very heavy...i really dis like it nowadays. This fragrance has the best memories attached to it. The gourmand-rose-patchouli theme has been done many times, but this one is actually pretty good. This is beautiful. I could never make it a signature as it was way too sweet for everyday but whenever I did, you would know when I was in the room. The sweetness in this one, though, is kind of headachy and bothersome and intrusive. Honestly, this and L'Éclat (that is a little more citrusy) are by far better than LVEB. It was my signature For most of 2019. In my imagination people who love LVEB are very fond of junk food and are not frightened to eat up a huge amout of sweets. Because the edt version performed like an edp in its own right. This is sweet, overbearing, cloying...ugh. I possibly get some tonka bean which adds that hint of ‘smokeyness’ or ‘toasted’, or maybe even a little nutty background. Someone in my building wears this and the elevator is always filled with this scent. Trust me, I had sworn off all knockoffs until I found la rive and armaf! It has depth and beauty and none of the notes stand out in particular although I do sense the jasmine and praline. The first time I tried this perfume it smelled like Absolutely Blooming by Dior. I've been teetering on the brink on this one, nearly bought it just as things were locking down pre-COVID-19. It's feminine, but not much else. I also do get the similarities drawn between this and V&RFB; which is a favorite of mine. La Vie Est Belle Eau de Parfum entwines the elegance of iris with the strength of patchouli. Lovely sweet roses and I smell them the whole day around me. Actress Julia Roberts flaunts a pink dress in the new advertising campaign. It actually smells kind of sexy on me, LOL. Love, Love, Love! This one however, is perfectly orchestrated chorus of scents that is so wonderfully put together it makes all of my favorite perfumes pale in comparison. I love LVEB so I naturally like this but its too similar for me to get. A little bit rose maybe in the beginning. Very jammy, toffee, kind of a sparkling sugar effect. The iris seems to be dimmed down, and so is the projection. Actually I had tried this at Sephora, I sprayed it on paper, I really like this scent but it was so strong that it gave me mild headache. Not headache sweetness, just very nice and romantic like a walk in a rosegarden. Then there’s a strong vibe of burnt marshmallows, like when you get them really charred and only eat the charred part. It is LVEB with a perfect soft rose added in, without screaming "rose perfume". Complimentary Shipping on Orders $75+ COVID-19 UPDATE: Due to new safety procedures, shipping of orders may be delayed. My skin is oddly picky with gourmand type scents. I think when i did test it my skin had other scents tested on it and once i showered and tried my samples again...yes...thumbs up...it is fresh...just got a bottle , the rose is toned down but its less sweet than E Eclat version im not fond of....still like legere for fall....n this for summer! Fingers crossed for that awful patch note to be toned down to tolerable! So, so many compliments every where I go. It is similar to Coco Mademoiselle but I think LVEB turns on my skin and smells cheap. Oh and lasts all day, just gorgeous. jeremy fragrance and his male friends all seemed to love it...but i was surprised to smell how SPICY it is. True olfactory hardcore! Smells amazing on my aunt and smelt okay on me when I tried a little - so she bought it for me as a bday gift. This is my elder sister’s favorite perfume. It’s so well-blended high-quality perfume. But the reason that I don’t prefer is the combination of iris-patchouli.Actually it performs and projects quitely good. However doesn’t suit with my skin. Ladies, don't over-complicate this. I’ve seen lots of reviews here saying If you don’t like original LVEB you won’t like this etc etc, NOT TRUE!! I still love Miss Dior more but I also love the subtle rose, raspberry and pink pepper scent of this en Rose EDT. I recently tried it, I am wearing right now from a sample and I think it has not the disturbing thickness it had with its release. However I tried the tester on my wrist, and it doesn’t work on me. Iris is the key ingredient of the perfume, surrounded by orange blossoms and jasmine in the heart. I'm wearing it as I type. It is soooo sweet it's overwhelming. I love this perfume. It’s a very nice blend of the two, in my opinion. I have fallen in love while wearing this fragrance, the complements I have received from this fragrance is unreal as well. It smells cheap. Great longevity and projection . Not very sharp white florals, sorta sparkly white florals which isn't bad but I'm not feeling it now and I can think of cheaper alternatives that smell the same on me; EL Pure White Linen fx. The drydown smell was a metallic, canned tomatoes smell on me. This is just gorgeous! My signature was always pink sugar but I’m in my early 20s and I wanted something a little more “grow-up” and this was the perfect fit. I love LVEB, dont find it to sweet or to strong ,just right . I used up a sample in 3 days and found it addictive. Whenever I wear this I always get a whiff of something that smells so good and then realize it is the perfume. One spray on my wrist made my whole house smell like La Vie est Belle. Lovely addition to the LVEB line from Lancome. No, thank You very much! Finalul acestui parfum perfect feminin este cald, cu tonuri de paciuli și de vanilie. This is a safe gift to get for anyone. Oh my goodness I love this! Whether it’s overrated and everyone wears, its for good reason. Very sweet perfume so distinctive. Comes out loud and synthetic. Slightly mature, maybe 35 and up. As others have said, longevity and sillage are moderate. One of those that men buy to women when they don`t know their taste, just because it`s popular. 5 with If you like La Vie Est Belle and roses... you will like this. I really enjoy the original LVEB so I was keen to try this one out. La Vie Est Belle is lovely and most certainly not overdone, despite it being extremely popular. Personally I smell something peppery about it and others I have mentioned it to say they can smell it too. I would say it’s a heavy, fully loaded perfume with a heft price tag-which I do understand since you need only a very small amount, it won’t be anything I would EVER buy at full price, I wouldn’t mind having a roller ball of this to use in the fall and maybe even into winter. On every single point. There is some subtlety in this one, which can't be said for the original. Ethereal and delicate, but somehow solid like a sheer silk scarf; that's magic, right there. This is what I wear when I want to be noticed. The iris is wrapped in consoling sweet praline. It is very tasteless...not what I expected from Lancome. I knew of it of course but was never drawn to try it and knew no one who wore it. This is a floral fruit patchouli fragrance that really gets the balance of the patchouli right. Un bouquet floral gourmand encapsulé dans un sourire, une déclaration universelle au bonheur. This perfume had to grow on me. There's no wood, no smoke, no dirtiness. Pure ecstasy! synthetic, it has no character. Projection is a few feet, sillage can be 2+ days on clothes. I have definitely found a new favorite and I'm glad I finally tried it! Like baking a dessert and not adding vanilla, cinnamon, etc. La Vie est Belle is a very very sweet fragrance due to the vanilla, praline, and tonka. I have used this for years but I just opened a new bottle yesterday and it is a lot weaker. I don't like it because it is so intense, it has a gigantic trail that leaves everyone nauseous. Fragrance for women Lancôme Canada ... La Vie est Belle Eau de Parfum Floral Eau de Parfum. Maybe I'll catch it at the discounters when it is d/c, as I expect it will be. would rather spend my money on something more memorable. La Vie est Belle en Rose was created by Anne Flipo and Dominique Ropion. With so many rose perfumes coming out, you could say this has not won "the war of the roses" in my book. There is a reason this perfume is so popular. It’s ultra feminine and it’s appropriate in any season at anytime of the day. Just horrible how female perfumery is milked like cows. La Vie Est Belle was created by Olivier Polge, Dominique Ropion and Anne Flipo. Its actually too sweet and cloying on my skin. The Iris in this perfume is too much for me, don't get me wrong I love the Iris in Anna Sui's first perfume that came out in 1999, this is just too over the top. Bummed about this as it is such a beloved fragrance with such great longevity, but it's not enjoyable. It dries down after a few minutes and the patchouli, praline, and orange blossom start to kick in. As a man who loves the way a sexy, confident woman smells, this is it. Which gives me mixed feelings because I don't really enjoy wearing it. If liking this makes me basic I want to run to the window and scream, “I’m basic! They are practically twins, After all these years of asking myself what's that awful perfume so many women wear I realized today this is it. It's quite difficult to distinguish the notes in this one; I'd say it smells like blackcurrant, orange blossom and vanilla. But this flanker tho! Then vanilla. Smells EXACTLY like Ysl Mon Paris & I love it. I used to smell overwhelming patchouli, which ruined it for me. Read about this perfume in other languages: Deutsch, Español, Français, Italiano, Русский, Polski, Português, Ελληνικά, 汉语, Nederlands, Srpski, Română, العربية, Українська, Монгол, עברית. Sweet floral and sweet fruit, doesn't feel like a LVEB flanker as I don't smell any praline or patchouli, which is what the original is all about. I received a sample of Idole and put it in my bedside table. Apa de parfum Lancôme La Vie Est Belle este simbolul libertății și al fericirii, o odă adusă tuturor frumuseților vieții. As an aside, I was also testing Dior Addict Eau Fraiche in the pink bottle (2014 I believe) and it actually smelled very nice mixing with LVEB ER--seems like the citrus and musk of DAEF balanced out the red berry/rose/fruitchouli vibe of LVEB ER quite nicely. Make no mistake, this is a straight-up floral cacophony, but a beautiful one at that. I've had the pleasure of trying this over the past few days and I have to say, it is magnificent! Combined with fresh and fruity notes of Pear, Bergamot, Pink Pepper and Blackcurrent bud. Again, totally understandable, but that doesn't make it a bad or basic perfume. On my skin, this is a sweet gourmand vanilla brown sugary delicious.
